any companyies that will make a premade case

Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!

so as i wanted them all, i asked if i could buy them from her, ended up she wouldnt sell me them, she asked me to buy her a chinese takeaway and i could have them. Now i have a few consoles to tinker with.

Modding here i come. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Thanks, appreciated.

Vacuum forming is easy but not for the faint-hearted. Bear in mind also, you will get wastage with the plastic sheets; you might for example buy 10 sheets to make 5 cases but only make 2-3 cases - the plastic can end up too stretched, or creases form; etc.. Also bear in mind that if you are new to building systems, the chance of you making a case too small or too big are substancial; consider buying my kit as you know everything will fit (all be it a squeeze). Would save you lots of headaches; and ultimately be cheaper overall anyway.

I have spent quite a lot of money so far on "my venture"; probably best part of £200-£300 on materials (small bulk), and stock to (hopefully) sell some case kits. This doesn't include the system contents. I need to sell about a dozen kits just to break even; so let's hope they sell!

awsome, well i apreciate that you took a lot of time to make the case, and yeah you making the case and me buying it would make the whole process easier.

But i would rather make it myself. I have a few design ideas, and id like to have a bash at vacum foaming my self.

I Think because this is my frst project, i would like to make it all myself, and then try to improve on future projects from the mistakes i have made.

Good luck stephen0205, keep us posted.

As you are new to this, best advice is to make your system work first, then think about a case. I am doing it the other way around this time as I know how things fit and work in a system.

That's fine too. Having all the components wired together first means that you can base the case exactly on what you have.

i know that screen. It will only take RGB. Also, the resolution is not very good (for PAL anyway, haven't tried NTSC)

Also, it's very big and has 5 small boards AND an LCD controller board (inside the LCDs metal casing). I can send you pictures of guts, if you're interested
