Trying to get homebrew running on your PSP? Want to add a screen light to your Game Boy? Trying to figure out how to work your GP2X? By popular demand, discuss it in here! (This forum is for pre-built handhelds, NOT custom made portables!)
That is weird... I do not own one, but I remember hearing that it could somewhere. I am just as confused as that guy in the vid was.
What do you mean can the SGB play any games in color? Just plug the game in, start it up, and press "X" to switch to color enhanced mode. It took me like 20 minutes to figure that out!
I need an SGB II for my next project anyway, where did you find them?

Are you making a weird joke? I mean "full color" for black cartridge GBC games. Black cartridge games contain two game codes, one that runs only on the Gameboy Color, and one that runs on the regular game boy, and the Super Game Boy.
I just checked with some more recourses. What is the project you are working on? The SGB 2 does not play GBC Only games, it only plays the same games as the regular SGB. THe one advantage is that it has a Link Cable port.
Bad joke. Besides that, all my gameboy games are on loan except frogger and pokemon yellow. Kinda hard to test.
No, it has another HUGE advantage: A power LED.
I don't want to throw my project ideas around yet ( I do not want to seem like one of those guys that throws around tons of ideas, and never does anything) but PM me if you really want it. Let it suffice to say, I need the link port.

I just posted a video that prooves otherwise. Please provide proof to this claim. Although I would like it to be true, every credible source i have found says the exact opposite, which leads me to believe you are either trying to confuse me for your own amusement, or you are misinformed. I would love for your claim to be true, but please post a picture, or a video, or some sort of proof. A respectable user on the NesDev forums told me this morning that he has a Japanese SGBII and it does NOT play GBC only games. Much like the video above, when a clear cartridge GBC game is inserted it informs the user that it must be used on a GBC rather than the unit it is installed in.
