shall do. I used notepad, so I'll try the same thing with a genuine HTML editor. That should fix it.

Abbibi: maybe me, Nin, and gannon (if he's interested) all do updates, but only one has the password and does the loading?
I've always made that offer, but I've only ever received a handful of HTML coded updates.

Well, if someone wants to send it to one of us, then we would do the coding so they don't need to, and send it to the one with the password

First of all, I didn't know you were really interested, gannon. I thought you were saying that if you weren't busy, you would've volunteered. Oh well. Good luck with you, too. Heck, good luck with all that are in the running.

Second of all, check you PM's, abbibi

...(though it doesn't look like he codes his site by hand)
True, I use Dreamweaver. I got tired of writing it all by hand, and dreamweaver has that cool wysiwyg editor thingy... So I can switch between code view and a preview of how the site looks. It makes for very clean coding. I do about half the coding by hand(I am a programmer by nature).

...but he isn't very active either.
Again, true. I was more active on the old forum. but then again I was working on my portable at the time. as for now work on my NESp has ceased. Mainly because its at my mothers house. I do lurk on the new forums, I check it several times a day. Usually if someone has a question, my answer was already given by someone else. Either that, or I am not 100% that my answer is correct, and I am not about to give wrong info to someone in need. Sorry for not being as active as I had hoped. But I am now gonna get started on modding the doomportables site.

Good luck guys.

Its true i'm not as active as i was but i mostly browse the forums and chat on the chatpage

i only really post on the forum if i have something to say but i do browse them a lot.

Don't forget I'm on the other side of the world so i post when you guys sleep.

But im happy to make some new pages and all that so SpongeBuell just updates news without having to worry about code etc.

Hell i can build a simple PHP script for him to post news by typing into the the text box so no code is needed.

But i will support SpongeBuell with html news and anything else he needs i dont mind who post the news etc im available for help :)

You know you don't need to make an entire site and all, as you sorta implied

Actually altho i have time i dont think it be best for me to update the site.

I'm happy to redesign a few things and all that

I think SpongeBuell is prob the best guy to do the job u trust him and he knows a bit of html.

I'll help him with the html side of things etc and im sure gannon will help him to.

If he has a problem he can email the html file and i can fix it or add whatever he wants then send it back.

No offence to cennar i know your been here for a while now but SpongeBuell been here for years and if he did take over doomportables i can make his life hell on gp32x ;) hehe

But yeah i vote for SpongeBuell i have the time but the updates would be slow cause of the time i get online at home.

Thanks a lot, man. I actually have working knowledge of HTML (though I'm not a mastemind) and whenever I try to make a website, I keep remembering how much I have to go and give up. With this site, however, everything is made and I just have to change, which I am confident I can do.

Again, thanks for the good word, Nin. :D

Sounds good, I vote SongeBuell!

I'm starting to set up a new area of my site anyways, and it might take a little while to get the code right, plus I might make a redesigned look for my site.

thanks, guys.

BTW, no bribes were made at this point, unless someone hacked into my email or something, but I don't think that happened :P

Also, I thought I'd say that if I get the job, I probably wouldn't make any uber liberal changes (such as color schemes) though I could add some features, including what I had mentioned in the chatroom (putting a "next chat time" thing on the sidebar or somewhere)
