How do you get the case for the N64 portable?

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Actually, you can do it the quick and crappy way, or the somewhat slower and better way :)
yeah, 'cause I don't use ribbon cables, I just use individual wires, so it's easier but takes a bit longer :(....still not too bad, though :)
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

New Concept

Post by Nintendo »

I've been thinking up a new concept for the case. It's the shape of an N64 cartridge only bigger and probably a bit thicker. It's perfect! The little slot on the bottom would be where you place the cartridge. The place where the sticker would usually be would be where you'd put the psone screen. Then the outer edges would house the controls.

did the n64 both ways (fried the first one) and the ribbon cable is easier and better, not to mention smaller and easier on the eyes. (that was my pic)

if you do ever make an N64p like that, make sure to make some sort of huge N64 base unit to plug that into :P...(perhaps the base unit could be used for AV outputting :)....)

That was a good idea Gamelver but very unprobable. If I made a base unit, how would I put in the game? Also I'm thinking of adding a piece so it can plug into your tv, that would be awsome. Also I e-mailed Ben about the whole case thing about 2 weeks ago, I'm still waiting for him to get back to me though. Also I was wondering around at gamstop yesterday and I found an old ultra Racer 64 controller. I had never seen it before so I bought it (it was 10$ anyway). After using it a few times I decided to try and incorporate a steering wheel in to the design. I still haven't decided on a case because I'm getting so many different opinions. If only I could start a pole.

You said that you registerred, so loggin already! LOL.

Also, the GCp looks cool, but it is easier and cheaper to just buy the controller/LCD screen combo for $15-$20.

It is also much less great. Its a screen that is smaller than a GBA's screen.

WOW! Does that actualy work, plugging the black connecters right into the cartridge slot (those little copper things). I have the same ribbon wire but farely larger. Could i cut one of the black connecters in half? Would it affect it at all?

You probably have 80 pin. Make sure that you have the right number of holes, and don't cut through any other wires.
