Something just popped into my head. What if to make things simple and easy for people to make portable NES and for us to make some money we make things like the video/audio amp. maybe case(s) and something else along that line.
I know its a big "if" but when Ben's book hits the stores people will be looking for an easy way to make their own and buying certain parts from us off the forums would benifit both parties right?

I think that could be a good idea, except you're dealing with people at different skill levels too, so they won't all be able to build it like Ben's even if the case is made for them. I think amps are a good idea, but mass-production of the case is a little iffy. Any useful circuits with easy connectability would be nice, really. The only problem I see with that is making them at a decent size to meet everyone's needs. You'd have to make them as small as humanly possible to please everyone.
Well the amps I was thinking of making were the ones on classicgaming.com/nesp he has the schematics and a pic of what his looked like.
As for the cases and stuff I though that Ben made the handmade ones so that everone can have a cool looking case, being able to buy a case wouldnt be that different from buying a project box at radioshack, its on the person that bought it to make the pieces fit.

Sounds good, but you have to think that some people won't be able to mount the stuff. And when people can't do stuff, they get angry. And when people get angry it's bad for business. I was thinking that something cool to sell would be a semi-built NESp. Like, if the controller was already attached to the front of the case and you just need to attach wiring or something to your NOAC to get it to work. Sorta like one of those Radio Shack kits where it feels like you're building something but really even a monkey could do it.

Very small amps would be nice. Very nice. Something along the lines of a vga box for dc I saw once. It was very small and was all fit into a small box so that nothing would be crushed. It was about an inch long and .3 inches deep. And it was the same deep as wide.
Another thing is maybe manufacturing ready made noac chips. One with all the wires all attached and labelled. Or it could come with a diagram of where to attach it. That would make tons of money, especially if they could be found cheap somewhere. And I mean around 15 for a usable one.
Someone could also look for a cheap pockettv source or psone lcd source and sell those too. That would attract not only nesportable makers, but many others. Of course, if we made cases, they would have to be at least three sizes, 5 inch(psone) and 2.3(common pocket tv size.
Thats my 2 pence.

I dont see anything wrong or difficalt with selling kits that includ an nes (minus rf), new cart connector (like either one of Ben's), maybe a screen, battery and charger. I know it wouldnt be cheap by hey say about an hour with a soldering iron and two to three hours charging the battery you off to play your own NESp.SgtBowhack wrote:I was thinking that something cool to sell would be a semi-built NESp.
