Yes it is nice to be able to put your projects INSIDE something isn't it? You know, to hold everything together so it doesn't flop around? Discuss the techniques here!
I'm reviving this old topic because I want to experiment by using this stuff for my Snesp. I found on Ebay that I can buy 500 grams of Polymorph for about $26. Do you think that would be enough for a case? Or would I need more than that?
Sounds kind of expensive... Do you know how dense it is? If its really dense, then no. If it isn't dense, then it depends on how big the case is. Could you get a picture of 500gm of it?

Here is the auction. Now I'm kind of doubting myself using it because I know I could easily make the bottom half of the portable, but it would be a pain the in the arse trying to get the sides an even width and what not. Eh, I think I may just stick with good old vacuum forming.
I say try polymorphing. I really want to know how the stuff works out, because I'd like to use it on a future portable if it's nice. Also, the ebay write up says it can be used for theatrical masks. If anyone here has ever been on stage with hot spotlights shining on you, you know how hot it gets up there. If the polymorph doesn't melt there, it probably won't melt any other time (unless in a car, of course )
