Since the PSP turns on by itself as soon as you insert the battery, then it means your battery is now Pandora!

ANYWAY, since the dot iam was talking about was on the right side of the chip, I should cut the first pin on the opposite side?

Can a PSP Slim power up from an unmodified 3.6v 1800mAh battery?

I broke the + contact on my battery when I was opening the case, and I have soldered it back together but I can't get the PSP slim to power on using the soon-to-be pandora battery.

Is this normal? Perhaps the PSP-1000 battery only works with the slim when the pin has been removed to make it a pandora battery. Or should I be able to power up the slim using the unmodified battery?

When I plug it into the AC, the PSP slim does show an orange light at "Power" to indicate that the battery is charging.

I managed to get rid of pin 5 after some intense drunken desoldering and needle work. Thankfully I didn't short anything!

At first I was worried because the battery wasn't powering on the PSP slim when I inserted it. However, after giving it some time to charge, it does appear to immediately power on the PSP. It doesn't seem to use the memory card or wifi but that's probably because I don't have a magic memory stick inserted.

More tomorrow, time to pass out :)

Not sure. Havn't really read the thread. But I think the files iam has are for downgrading to 1.5 wich I believe slims can't do. (like I said didn't really read the thread)

Someone asked about the battery model and I'm curious to know the answer as well.

PSP-1000
PSP-1000G1
PSP-1000G1CW
PSP-1000K
PSP-1000KCW
PSP-110

I'm opting for PSP-110...
