For goldeneye, you can see tons of cool Gameshark stuff here goldeneye.detstar.com
As for other games, I don't know of any mods, I've been around n64 emulation since project64 1.3 (That was a while ago :P) Just grab a debugger and have fun:)

You'd have to write the programming they way Nintendo would and put it inside a spare cartridge. So long answer "yes with a but," short answer "No with a because."

Well not nessarily the z64 (zip drive backup system for n64) will backup your games to a zip drive that you could modfiy on your computer.

It exists. You have to have it shipped over from the uk though but it does exsist:

I've checked a few of those out; Faux-Cel-Shaded Mario 64 is great.

I think you'd need some kind of rom hacking tool that'll let you replace the textures in the game. So far the only one I've seen that'll let you do that for the N64 roms is the Goldeneye/PD editors, but if I hadn't heard of this I'm sure there could be something out there.

btw, my friend had a z64 and it sucked a lot. It was really really slow and often didn't work.

Well, emulation wise there is a graphics plugin out there for the emulators Project 64 or 1964, where it has the ability to rip textures from roms, and load high-resolution textures that you can make and replace yourself. The graphics plugin is called Rices Video 6.1.0c Hirez Texture Loader you can get it from here if anyones interested http://www.emutalk.net/1964/26229-rice- ... oader.html
