Help desoldering
This may seem kind of stupid, but I don't have a dick of a clue as to how to properly desolder all the stuff on my snes mini motherboard. I hold the stupid iron there untill it slips, then I get pissed off. Can anyone tell me how to do this properly?

Oh wait, you are new, so you obviously haven't done the mod.

Re: Help desoldering
I use a flux pen and solder wick, instead of a desoldering iron. Solder wick is simply braided copper with rosin--it comes in different thickness--to remove solder, heat the wick and the solder together, then the wick will "suck up" all of the solder.
Only the great ones remember.

Might I suggest a harder crackdown on people who bump old topics, especially repeatedly? I know that many of the people who do it are new, but people should really start reading the rules/looking at how old a topic is before posting in it. I don't exactly know how we'd be harsher, since a temp. ban is definitely too extreme for that sort of thing. Hmmm.

Its kind of sad when a kids first three posts are bumps, and at that, for stupid threads. Its even sadder when statistics and percentages show that kids typically leave before their fifth post.
