Xbox PC controller hack (xbox to usb)
I bought a Pelican PL-2053 Eclipse controller to convert to usb for pc gaming. I'm using XBCDv107.exe(http://www.redcl0ud.com/xbcd.html#download) to run it and it seems to hang causing my computer to freeze up. The mod itself is very simple but i just cant get it to perform properly. Thinking that it was the wiring I redid it 3 times. If anyone has experienced this problem I would appreciate the help. Thanks
i ues a 1st pary one a few years ago for this and all i did was match up the colors...one of the wires you wont use, its pretty much a dummy wire (i think its yellow) and you might have 2 black wires, both are grounds (1 skinny for the date, one thick for the shielding) so you can use one or the other or both it really doesent matter

Yellow is used for the internal reset button mod, and I have yet to find out why it was put in in the first place.
To answer the question:
I've heard that it doesn't work with some models of Xbox 3rd-party controller, so check if it has no compatibility with the software.

just use an official controller, or buy a $5 extra breakaway cable and mod that.

This thread is a little dated and irrelevant but I though I'd let anyone interested know that the controller would not perform as a PC controller. When using a self powered usb device as suggested by http://www.redcl0ud.com/xbcd.html it still would glitch. The only advice I could give would be to not try to be cheap like I was and just get an official controller.
