Psone screen in a Game Gear?

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Psone screen in a Game Gear?

Post by atkafighter »

Would a psone lcd fit inside a game gear? I can cut away the original screen protector I just need to know if it is even feasable before I get a broken one. I could preform Gamelver's lcd trimming mod if it is going to be that close, but I think it will fit. In case you haven't noticed I'm going to be building either a radica, or a nes clone for my next project. Probably no cart slot for simplicity sake, and of course my dual tone paint scheme. Too bad this one is also for someone else, and someone already has placed an order for one after that, but look on the brightside the next one I make for myself will be amazing.

A gamegear screen is about 2.5" and the psone is 5". I'm using a hip gear screen for my mGENp project right now. They are the same size...just need to worry about fitting it all together.

No the GameGear is not wide enough to house the circut board for the LCD. The Nomad might be able to but I've never seen one to be able to judge the size to the PSone's screen.
