Ok,

The PSone controller you have is a good one, it is the one that you can use in Ben's PSonep's. The board with the buttons on it is pretty much unnecessary if you are using tact switches because all of the button connections can be found on the connector that goes to that board.

Tinning is putting solder on something so it forms a small, clean droplet that is the same shape as the contact. Lemon juice helps by attracting the solder to the thing you are trying to tin. You could say it acts as soldering flux.

The ribbon cable has 16 pins, and the PSone has 15 buttons and a ground. L1, L2, R1, R2, cross, triangle, square, up, down, left, right, start, select, analog, ground. (Those are not in the right order.) I would suggest you try using the original control boards in your portable (unless it is a landscape style, ie, the buttons are on the sides, the screen in the middle and it is wider than tall)

Soldering flux does what I said lemon juice does, draws the solder to the contact and makes it stick.

Oh, and please try typing everything out in the future, it is really hard to read your posts.
