hooking up 7808 redulator for ps1 screen

i got the 7808 regulator so i can put the voltage down to 8v but now how do i hook it up?

voltage in left
ground centre
voltage out right

check the voltage before you hook it up...it might be different!

check the output voltage after youve wired it up!

ok so connect the wire from the batteries into the input, hook the ground to the rest of the ground, and hook the wire from the screen into the output. right? thats it?
