So, I was wondering if it would be possible to modify a SNESP (handbuilt to the specs in the book) to have an AV input jack. I got this idea when I found this in a pile of old electronics:

I don't remember what it was originally to, but it seems to be a converter cable that allows you to plug the standard 3 AV cables into a single jack. That is, as long as the jack can fit this:

I'd like to wire a switch between the SNES motherboard and the Psone screen and use it to swap between input from a jack and input from the SNES. Having power cut to the SNES when the jack is selected would also be nice, as it would conserve battery power.
So, could anyone tell me:
1: Where I could get a proper jack
2: Where I could get a switch that would work for this
3: Where/how I should wire the jack and switch into the SNESP's wiring
4: Where a good place in the case would be to mount the jack and switch
Edit:
Flash of inspiration here. I can just wire both the jack and the SNES's video to the screen and have a switch controlling the SNES's power supply seperately from the screen's. As long as I don't plug in the cable and turn on the SNES at the same time, there should be no problem. But I still need a jack that will fit that plug and to figure out how exactly to wire it into the screen's video inputs. The switch can be a simple on/off switch attached to the power line for the SNES.
SNESP AV-in jack?

1. i think i have one laying around i could sell or trade to you. it's on a little pcb that used to be connected to a verge screen and it said AV in so it should work
2. i get lots of switches from old junk or RC cars or an electronics store would work
3. you could wire the video lines in parrelell and have separate power switches for the snes and screen
4. anywhere there's room for a switch that's not in the way of anything

Or you could just use the multi-out jack that comes with the SNES and cut a small hole for a microswitch to turn the screen off. The jack is fairly large, but I think there is some room on the left side of the hand-built SNES case from the looks of the book. Plus, you don't need any special type of cable and you get stereo sound (if you wire it from the small surface-mount chip) unlike it used to output.
