As of Monday June 20th 3:30am my SNESp was completed and playing TMNT 4 has never been so sweet. I'm going to be improving on the case over the summer(i need to get it marked today for school) and the controller seems to be acting up now(but not at school so ).
It does looks akward, but it looks more akward than it actually is, also L and R haven't been put in(as every SNES game I own has no need for it), but they will be added. Anyway here's a pic(its length and width are a sheet of paper[8.5x11] and the thickness is about 2 inches can't remember off the top of my head)
not too bad for my first attempt IMO(also the fornt plate is clear plexigalss for educational purposes)

The controller front plate is mounted on top of the plexiglass, so the controller board is set in between the controller plate and the plexiglass(and 4 washers, 2 on each side, to make the buttons stick up better). Then I uses the already made screw holes in the controller plate and screwed in the screws through the plexiglass. The cut a hole for the little square plug on the back of controller so the the wire could go through and so that the controller would lie flatter on the plexiglass. Having the controller flushed, does make it a bit harder to controller(but i have fairly big hands, plus I think my hands are stretching to the form).
When i brought it to class(this was for a school project), I got 8 offers to sell it(and 2 other guys, one wanted TMNT 4 and the other wanted LoZ: LttP).

well it was a school project, so i felt having a see through front would be easier than opening and closing and risk it getting damaged at school(nerds can be dangerous), plus it has certain "class" to it.LethalMeatball wrote:it could possibly have a layer of plastic over that board, so you dont see ONLY boards... I personally would have used something you couldnt see through, but if it works, and its your first portable, good job, and keep the good work up
