PS1 Video Wire buildup

Post by demonofaj »

Can someone give me a diagram of the buildup of a PS1 video wire. Also do you think you can take that wire, and hack it onto a SNES, Genesis, NES and such

I'm not sure what exactly you want :? Why would you want to use it for the SNES and all the others? And how? The plug won't fit all those systems if that's what you are asking.

The pinouts for the playstation plug is at www.gamesx.com if that's what you needed.

Well, I was wondering that the PS1 video wire could be used as a wire to connect the LCD and my Genesis mobo. Correct me if i am wrong, but is it possible. If yes, I need to know what the PS1 wire is made up of, what is the ground and such.

Yes, it is possible to make it so that a genesis accepts a ps1 a/v cord. However, you would need to get your hands on a female ps1 a/v plug and wire it to the appropriate pins of the gen. I don't know why you would want to do this though as it will still end in rca jacks, just like if you had used the actual genesis cord....
