How do you guys mount the controller?

Post by chodges84 »

I was having a go at mounting it last night, sometimes it works well adn other times it doesn't I notice on the offical controller, that there are supports behind the button, that obviously act as a support when you press the buttons. When I do it, sometimes I gotta push them down hard.

Hopefully that makes sense.

I'm using an official pad btw and keeping the C buttons (which are all sadly different lengths) and a and b and start buttons.

since nobody replied, I'll try again.

I'm mounting an Original controller in my system, but am having trouble with a few buttons. I'm using the original buttons and the board. A, B, Start, C-Left, and C-Up are working OK. However C-Right and C Down need a bit more pressure, and often require pressure from behind the board. Why is this?

What I would like to know is how you mount your controllers?

Many Thanks.

Sounds Intriging, once someone tells me what rf shield is, I'll be laughing. I wonder if its what I know as 'Angled Beading' (available in wood, plastic or metal).

I actually think the controller may be kncakered anyway. I had a go with my other board that I'd taken out and I only had to look at the buttons for them to press.

The metal all around the board from when you opened it is RF Shielding. That stuff is really useful.

i realize this is a bit old, but im having difficulty with my controller. im trying to mout the board to the backside of the front of the case. im using the original board, and buttons, and i realized it cant be directly glued in place, or the buttons will be permanently depressed. tried using sum old plastic, but ended up cutting open my finger... any ideas?

In the end I used some plastic covers off of the covers of my Printer cartridges!!. I cut them down, and then cut a slit in them, I then glued that to the front of the case with some hot glue and it held really well. I also cut the buttons down a bit to make them all the same size, and super glued them to the orange rubber thing to sop them from falling out if it was turned upside down.
