Have anybody ever powered a DC with a PC power supply?

Hi,
I've been here for a long time, although I weren't registered reading oyur post, and are definitively useful, haha.
Well, my problem is that I completely toasted my DC power supply, and I have a PC one lying around, and was wondering if it would be possible to bring my cast to life with it.

Yes you can, people sometimes use mini-ITX power supplies for their portables, a normal PC one should work fine.

i used a pc one for testing but they are too big in the long run

Crap, wish you'd said something sooner. There's this place downtown that sells replacement Dreamcast power supplies for 5 bucks, but seeing as I'm moving back to America this afternoon I don't really have time to go pick it up.

If I do I'll run and do that... should have space in my luggage still.

In America? it's a place going out of business, so they'd probably be like "Yeah, we're gonna ship some clearance stuff to you. Right..."
If I have time I'll run and pick it up but I don't think I'll have quite that much time... plus I'd have to stuff it in my luggage somewhere, and having lived here for a year, let's just say I have plenty of stuff to keep my bags happy... stupid game shops *shakes fist*
