Dreamcast SD without Dreamshell?

Dreamcast SD without Dreamshell?
Has anyone developed a way to use the SD adaptor for the Dreamcast without having to use a CD to boot games? The only project I know of for that is this one http://dknute.livejournal.com/41023.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but I am sure there are others.

Another concurrent project is the one that is developing a PCB for connecting to the PS1. Called PSIO. They are intending on interfacing with the DC using the same hardware.
