VERY nice little system. for an 1982 model, they have a VERY good sound chip, from the sound effects I heard while playing. They sound a lot like original Game Boys. The $10 US price tag at the yard sale wasn't bad either. ^^ Yes, I am lucky.

I am wondering if there is anything I should know about these units, and any methods of tweaking that I should also know about.

Also, I want to know where I can buy the games for her. Yes, her! Why? BECAUSE I FRIGGIN' SAID SO! *Hugs his Vectrex*

I'd start by naming it Vecky... since that sounds like Becky.

wow I just skimmed the article, I didn't see the $200 price tag. I'll have to pay more attention to those pesky yard sale signs. You never know what you'll fnd I guess.

It's not worth $200. You can buy them for $99-120 on Ebay depending on completeness.

True, but they don't always sell for full retail on Ebay. Either way, I saved a lot. ^^ Oh, and if the screen ever looks kinda dim on your Vectrex, just reset. That's what I learned last night.

Hey, does anyone else have a Vectrex here? I'd like to learn whatever I can about them.

I don't have one, but you might want to check out Atari Age. They have one heck of a classic gaming community, and the people are really friendly (as long as you don't go to the politics and religion forum  )
