Sd card in a Gamecube

Post by pogopat » Mon Sep 03, 2012 4:06 pm

Hi. I've seen a GameCube memory card with a sd card mod built in but what I want is help put a sd card directly in a GameCube.
Only really want it for game saves and possibly home brew/emulators.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please.

Thanks for quick reply. I've seen several posts about Wiikeys but wondered if any way of directly wiring sd adapter to board.in the past I stipples down a memory card and put it in internally and wanted to do similar with sd card.
Only really want it for game saves.

I don't really understand what you mean. The WiiKey basically replaces the disk drive with a SD card slot, thats what your wanted right?

Edit: ok, after re-reading I get it now; you want an internal SD gecko with a OEM quality SD slot for the memory card right?

Just googled 'GameCube gecko' and yes that looks like the sort of thing I had in mind just internal. Guess I could strip it down and put it internal.
My case is a clear plastic case do want the insides to look neat.
I'll stick a photo on then I get something to show.

You can't use an SD-Gecko to save to. Homebrew only, at least until Emu_kidid gets memory card emulation sorted out in Swiss.

Sorry.

No need to say sorry mate. Think I'll get a Gecko anyway cos not heard of them before.
Will have to stick to memory card for game saves at minute.
