audio amps.
Moderator:Moderators
looking for some open sourced schematics for some audio amps that I could make without ordering a kit. I may need some help fully understanding the schematics aswell, although i do have quite a bit of knowledge about electronics and electrical theory. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I want these audio amps for big projects (DIY stereo's) and small projects(portables).

Re: audio amps.
Dunno bout any big DIY amps, but I do know if you just google LM386 (or any similar small amp), you'll find bunches of schematics for it floating around.

The Texas Instruments tpa6021a4 chip is an excellent 2w stereo amp with headphone jack support. I used it in 2 of my laptops and it works great! I also have a couple PCBs with digital volume control for sale if you're interested....

cMoys Amplifiers are a great way to learn about the basics of amplifiers
There is an excellent guide here on protoboard

heres a Freeform version i just finished with no PCB its nearly like your looking at the schematic:)
As you can see it is a simple layout
(The Sockets are reversed in the above picture because the image was mirrored)
cheers
