Does This Work?

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Does This Work?

Post by Unidentified Assilant »

I heard from a friend that you could hack apart a GBASP, and where the wires connect to the screen, you could snip them and solder on a SCART connector, and connect the GBASP to the TV?

Does this work? I'd love to try it, but don't have the guts to rip apart a GBASP (and ruin the LCD screen)

but the sp uses a different screen than the gba so it'd be fairly hard if not impossible to make it work.

Also, even if it did work, you couldnt use the GBA SP's screen anymore (unless you soldered the wires back), thus forcing you to only use it at home

I think he wants to do the opposite:play the GBA on TV. To do so, you simply need a Transverter or similar device. I believe the transverter has RGB, but I don't think the others do.
