Now that I think more on it in the light of day with my brain awake you will of course need to use an AND gate not a NAND which is what Micro has been kind enough to show you.

Re: 2 Controllers Into 1
Don't use the setup shown on your (first) pic. That's probably gonna damage your controllers when one controller is driving the data line high and the other one low.
You also don't have to mess with the console itself. Just connect the data wires from the 2 controllers to pin 1 and 2 and the data wire leading to the console to pin 6...

Bare with me guys, I know I sound stupid. But I have a couple of question marks. Tried to make a scetch to show what I still dont understand. Im very eager to try this today, but stores close in 1h30 or so :/
Sounds to me like I'm not going to use the other 4 wires? Only the red (data-wire)? Then what are the others for :/

Have a look at this picture:
You can tie together all the wires that got the same color EXCEPT for the data wires. You have to connect those 2 wires to the 7400. The result goes into your SNES console. Use the brown and white wire to provide power to the 7400 IC. Also don't forget to connect the pins 3, 4 & 5 on the 7400 =)

Re: 2 Controllers Into 1
Alright now I understand! Thanks. One thing though. You connected the white wire together before you put it into the 7400. Can I just put all 3 white into it?
I sketched it so I can follow this picture as a guide. But need to know if I did it correctly. So please look over mine and see if that would work:

And also, connecting the 3-4-5, can I just use a coppar wire or some random crap from a speaker to do that?

Can't really find a swedish place that sells NAND 7400. So I might go with the site you provided. But there are many types of it, and accessories that comes with it.
If I press "Sample and Buy" on SN7400N, cause that one exists in Europe in stock. There are like 6 buy buttons and several quantity things I need to decide :S Very complicated. Actually, anybody know another website that sells NAND 7400 with like 1 button xDPart# Status Temp (oC) Price | QTY Package | Pins Top Side Marking Package QTY | Carrier Distributor Inventory TI 1k Lead Time Sample or Buy
SN7400D ACTIVE 0 to 70 0.90 | 1ku SOIC (D) | 14 View 50 | TUBE >5k 1k quantity lead time: In stock
SN7400DE4 ACTIVE 0 to 70 0.90 | 1ku SOIC (D) | 14 View 50 | TUBE No Stock For lead times contact TI Authorized Distributor or local TI sales office Contact Distributor

Re: 2 Controllers Into 1
I found another site that wants money in a currency called Rs. What is Rs, like seriously how hard should it be to buy a gate. Why not $ or £ or €.

At the website you were at before get the sample for this one:
SN7400N ACTIVE 0 to 70 0.95 | 1ku PDIP (N) | 14 View 25 | TUBE >5k 1k quantity lead time: In stock
The other site you linked for is asking for Ruppees because its in India.

Re: 2 Controllers Into 1
Why dont you just wire the controllers together on the other side of the chip? send one set of signals straight to the SNES, then just send each button signal and a common ground to both controllers... then it will be like there is one controller on the SNES side, except two places (in two different physical encasements) that each of those button signals could get grounded out. I feel like that is the much simpler way of doing this.

I posted a reply, but it isn't showing up. How strange.

edit: Now it did? Odd.

Re: 2 Controllers Into 1
Simply because that approach would require that you send 13 wires in between the master controller and the slave and would require that you make a controller board from scratch. The alternate approach is much more elegant.
Re: 2 Controllers Into 1
I was thinking more along the lines of a little box (with just the IC, really) which sent out from all angles. I mean, some sort of box would have to be involved anyhow. Like, have your two controllers, open them both up, and take the ICs out, then stick one of the ICs in a little box, with all the console signals going to the plug, then have the 13 (small, enclosed in something) wires going to each controller. I feel like a master-slave setup would be a tad more awkward in any sense. In this one, it feels just like a normal controller would, but with them both going to a box, then to the console. Also cheaper and easier. I dunno, just me though. The only con, really, is that 13 wires is a lot of wires. I spose it's lots of extra work (and a little bit of extra expense) vs. a big chord.

Re: 2 Controllers Into 1
Well ideally the and gate approach would have SNES controller sockets on it so you would only have to plug them in. There would be no openning up of controllers and really only messing with one wire. More elegant and less work.
