Ps3 laptop

I have searched all over this forum, not just once but many times on finding out information about the ps3 laptop/gateway 1775 wiring help and getting power from the ps3 psu.

The only one I have found that helped was this one

And I looked at bens guide but it doesn't say anything of to where you solder the wires from the gateway 1775w psu to the ps3 and so on.

I'm using 120gb ps3 slim
Gateway 1775w monitor (ben's monitor he used)



If you can shoot any links my way to help me out I'd appreciate it, again Ive googled it and searched threads many times and now I'm giving up on that and asking on the forums!

Well, I was just planning to split the power cable to power both devices. However, I'm probably the worst person in the world to take advice off. So if it goes fatally wrong, don't hold me responsible

okay thanks! Thats what i was planning to do is split the 120v ac off of ps3 as thats what ben did.




What lcd screen are you using?

I'm using the same one as ben is and I see how he cut the monitor psu and put it on the back but when he shows the other half inside the ps3 it definitly looks like he cut it into 3 parts or is using a different psu to power the monitor... This is my only question.

I emailed ben and he replied and was going to get back with me on this.. If anyone knows or can help i have a gateway1775w the same one as ben, what could i use to power this. Psu?
