PAL and NTSC modchip

Post by 0lenny0 » Tue Jul 27, 2010 9:07 am

Is there a modchip that allows me to play PAL and NTSC games on my ps1.
The console is pal but ntsc games are always black and white(normal).
Sow i want to know if there is a modchip that allows me to play NTSC games in color 2(backups and originals).

The tv and ps were both PAL,the ps1 whas modchipped a while ago but whenever i play ntsc games its black and white(idk if i had sound).
I thought modchips made your ps kinda region free.

Yes. Your correct. There are Mod Chips that can remove the region lock.

You can also just download PSX (PS1) ISO's and do the Swap Trick. Though, it does not work with a PSone (Slim), it does work the the PS1 (ORIGINAL)

This Mod Chip is perfect. http://www.mod-chip.bz/catalog/stealth- ... -p-44.html

I have one of those, and they are THE BEST.

Thanks

The Swap trick indeed DOES work with the PS1 Slim, also works for PS2 Slim (I know this because I have done it myself), and I would imagine it also works on a PS2 fat, with a flip-top case installed, and no this does not mean you can do this with PS2 games, only PS1 games on the PS2.

But this damages the disc drives in the systems after prolonged use of the trick, and not to mention it is just a pain in the ass having to do it every time you want to play a backup.

Yes. haha. My post was old...

You can do it with a PSone and PS2 slim. As long as you block the sensors on the PS2...

Nice bump though ^_^
