Ok So I Was On Wikipedia Looking Around Nintendo-Ish Stuff. And I Clicked N64 And Read The Page But I Found A Link Of Interest. An iQue Player. Its A Smaller N64 In A Controller With Game Cartridges But Not N64 Carts So Its A Letdown. But It Must Be Easier To Portablize Than A Huge N64. Here Is A Link To It http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IQue_Player" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; . Hey Maybe This Will Help Making Smaller N64P. Here Is A List Of Games Made For It
The Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time
Super Mario 64 (Of Course)
Star Fox 64
Dr.Mario 64
Mario Kart 64
Wave Race 64
F-Zero X
Yoshi's Story
Paper Mario
Sin & Punishment Successor Of Earth
Excitebike 64
Super Smash Bros.
Animal Forest
Custom ROBO
Marvelous Sounds Like A Game Lineup For The 3DS!It Is Peculiar That Nintendo Licensed This. But I Never Heard Of It. And Apparently They Redone Every Nintendo System
*This Is Costly If You Go Snooping On Ebay Though Like 100$ YIKES!

Re: N64 Portablizing Breakthrough!
It's impractical for a variety of reasons. See this thread from 2004 and especially this more recent thread for more information.

How Is It Impractical? Its Pretty Much The Only Games I Would Play On My Nintendo 64? I Was Just Going To Get A Battery And Attach A Screen To It And Make A Case And Put It In? Its Definatley NOT Impractical!

Re: N64 Portablizing Breakthrough!
It's impractical for the exact reasons eagle mentioned.
It's expensive. It only plays a few games. It's hard to find.
We can get N64's for $10. We can cut the board down really small. And soon we will have a flachcart from Marshall , so no need for the real carts.

Did you actually order it with all the games ?zacharyfurgeson wrote:Ok, But I Just Ordered One From Ebay So I Will Try It. Because I Believe All I Would Be Playing Is Ocarina Of Time And Super Mario 64.
The Ebay sellers don't include all the games. Those cost extra.

Re: N64 Portablizing Breakthrough!
You're stuck with the games you bought on it, unless you know someone over in China that can track down one of the very few remaining iQue stations (they are very rare!)
Then you would have to mail it over to them and have them write the games onto it.

Re: N64 Portablizing Breakthrough!
Yeeeaaa... That would cost more then the SD card system Marshall is building...
The N64 PCB can be cut down extremely small.
If you wanted to, you could pick up where Kibble was. He was re-engineering the N64 PCB in Eagle. Surprisingly, the N64 PCB is quite simple compared to a PlayStation 1.

Re: N64 Portablizing Breakthrough!
I am pretty sure, in proper grammar and punctuation, that you put a capital letter after a full stop. Like this. And like this.Diminuendo wrote:Dude, you dont need a new capital letter at the start of every word

No, I can not read Chinese. Can you? If so, well done. I would high five you, but you know how it is...

Re: N64 Portablizing Breakthrough!
If you can, by some act of god, figure out a way to interface with it over USB, fire wire, or even serial cable, I would be interested. If not, it isn't worth the price.
Cheers,
