Composite video/audio cable from the GC from the guide

I'm following this guide:

And I got to the part where you open the composite video/audio cable from the GC.


This board is not inside my cord! I hear this is only in the pal cords. Does this mean I can just skip it altogether? Or do I need to add something that I don't have? Here is the diagram shown.

I don't want to fry my ps1 screen!

Yeah just skip the board. You don't need it.
