Replacing Gamecube C-stick with N64 buttons

Replacing Gamecube C-stick with N64 buttons
How would I go about replacing the c-stick with c buttons? I hate playing Ocarina of time and having to use a stick to look around and stuff. Buttons would be MUCH better. Is this possible? If so, could someone draw a diagram? That would REALLY help.
