Yup, just watched President Obama give his speech on TV in a room full of soldiers.

Can we really believe? Especially when this guy is supposed to have been in some cave in a lawless zone and hes found in a luxurious mansion?

I think it was supposed to have happened a week ago, so they've had time to make sure. If it doesn't turn out to be true, I think Obama can kiss a second term good-bye, so I bet he's sure.

They are reporting now that he was killed today, not a week ago.

I was surprised to hear that he was in a mansion, not a cave. Sounds like he was hiding in plain sight.

But yea, I was quite surprised they found him in the middle somewhere. (That somewhere being Abbottabad, Pakistan.) Instead of finding him in the middle of nowhere.

I could definitely see it as possible that the military knew he wasn't in a cave but obviously wouldn't tell the press as it would likely get back to Osama and tip hip off that they were onto him.

Bleh, he's been dead since '01...and if I remember right, this is the eighth or ninth time the gov't has said he's dead. Although, this time around, the big media is making a little more of a stink about it...guess people aren't being fooled by the ghost of Osama anymore so they're making it "official" finally.

It's just crud being put out in an attempt to boost the president's abysmal approval rating.

he was hiding out in mansion compound in Abbottabad Pakistan about 100 miles from the Afghanistan border, and about 3/4 of a mile from the Pakistan Military Academy. according to what i've read the mansion was well defended, surounded by a 12 (or 18) foot high concrete wall

The primary areas they searched for him in were mostly near the Afghanistan border and the Federally Administered Tribal Areas on the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan, so its not too surprising they didnt find him. according to wiki this compound did not exist prior to 2002 and was probably build sometime around 2005

read and learn. Its healthy to question information given to you by mass media and people in positions of power, but all the conspiracy theorizing and whatnot is kinda silly IMO. Remember people revenge is a dish best served cold
