One of my friends told me that my ear buds have software that supports the bass boost option in his ipod.

Did you mean 7.4 volts? Yeah either way I don't bother with Radioshack people. I already know what to get.
I have nothing clever to say here. Sorry.

HA! I'm loving that people keep digging up this topic to show how ignorant people today are.

This isn't technically modding related, but my topic, I can post whatever the f.uck I want.

I was listening to my portable record player in homeroom when some girl came up.

Girl: (looks at Billy Joel 45) "Whoa, is that an 8 track?"

Oh, and I kind of like the company of older people better. They seem to know what they are talking about, and they understand ow to fix stuff. For instance, my 60 year old boss was telling me about how he had to replace several fuses and stuff on his ice machine.

I don't even bother explaining anything to people, because apparently that makes you a nerd, however I don't see anybody calling 80% of senior citizens nerds. Just goes to prove the de-evolution of the human mind.

Friend - "How are you going to do that? There are chips and stuff in there...
Me - " "

Me - "My portable N64's case build is going great! I'm going to work on it today"
Friend - "But thats a block of wood. Have you got the case done yet?"
Me - " :wtf: "

Other friend: WHAT! You can't do that! It'll freeze all the water in the computer!!
Me: there is no water in computers... *facepalm*
Him: Yes there is! You obviously know nothing about computer parts!!
Me: ...........

New guy at work has proven to be an unending source of facepalm moments for me.

He told me he wants to work in the electronics department because he's the biggest electronics geek I've ever met. (Extremely doubtful, considering those of you I've met IRL).
"Are you more interested in the hardware or software side of electronics?"
*blank stare* *blink* "I like it all. It's all good."
"Do you know any programming?"
"No, I don't know anything about that aspect of it. I had some programming class in high school, but I didn't really get it." (I'm assuming it was HTML.)

Later:
"I've got a buddy that is so good with computers, you just... you wouldn't believe it. He can sit down with a computer, completely disassemble it, clean it out, reassemble it, AND wipe it clean and do a system restore! You wouldn't know from looking at him that he's such a computer wiz!"
*waits for an astonished reaction from me (that isn't going to come)*
*assumes I just didn't understand him* "I mean he takes the computer itself completely apart..."

He mentioned his awesome Android phone, so I brought up the recent N64 emulator for Android. "What's it do?"

Also, after I mentioned Portal (which he deflected with "I don't play PC games - I play console games."), and raved about how great Portal 2 is, he told me he's playing this "really great game" called Assassin's Creed. "You should get it - it's awesome!"

Any suggestions on topics I should discuss next?

this is the same trust me:

I'm drawing with my girl friend who is as well as I am College educated and then some to do just this.
A woman comes up to looks over our sholder, this happens offten and we keep going acting unnoticed by her presence. she breaks the scilence and says to me "Don't draw girls like that. You'll do fine if you don't draw girls like that." she says and waks away.... Check the picture to your right at the signature.
Come on you crazy people! my girl friends right infront of you, I'm drawing the crap out of every thing. I'd assume most people know enough that you got to draw loads of naked people before you stick clouthing. I felt like crap that I didn't have porn on me to show her so I showed her my drawing that's a nice little island hillside that is actauly two people having sexualy reltions. she said that was better and left us alone to our work.... People can at any time open there mouth, they take there hole lives to open there freaking minds.

The trick is to feed them a catalog number and ignore everything else they try to sell you. (Radio Shack is first and foremost a cell phone store now. :|)

Last time I was in there they tried selling me AA batteries when they rang my purchase up. The only thing I brought to the counter was a 300 to 75 ohm adapter for a DIY ATSC antenna.
