Re: someone build me a portable nes or n64
it usually means trouble when someone who hasnt successfully built a n64p offers a commission
imo it would be safer if you went with someone like basementmodder, shockslayer, hailrazer etc
(if they are willing to do commissions that is)

Yes, I agree with blaze. Safest thing to do is to find a premade one that someone wants to sell.
Otherwise you commission someone and they (sometimes) do a subpar job and you're unhappy with the end result.
So, yeah, do as blaze says and find someone who already made portables that you like and within your price range.

Well bush has yet to complete a portable, but I've seen his case work and other things and I have confidence that he will do a good job.

Re: someone build me a portable nes or n64
yet at the same time he did not complete an attempted n64p
someone who has completed a portable (esp n64p), know how long it will roughly take them, can budget for errors, and avoid the errors they've made before.
fyi this is nothing against any individual, just got to make sure someone knows what their getting into, from the start to a completed portable.

Well to tell the truth, it's really the buyers responsibility to research the seller. Ask for previous worklogs and finished projects.
If the buyer is happy with what he sees and strikes up a deal, then it's now between the buyer and seller.
Good luck and I hope the portable is awesome

Re: someone build me a portable nes or n64
The reason I didn't complete it was because my buyer dropped out and I made the mistake of not getting payed beforehand. I ran out of money for parts and I had to focus on cash for you know, surviving.blaze3927 wrote:yet at the same time he did not complete an attempted n64p

pretty sure you tried to make it a commission later, and on top of that you got SS to do your board trimming :/. and according to your worklog you never got to the cramming stage and couldnt get the power to work properly.Bush wrote: I've commissioned someone to cut me a very small board

Re: Re: someone build me a portable nes or n64
? I made very clear it was for sale, and i did get to the cramming stage, but when i got everything in the power stopped working. I needed money from my buyer to fix the issue and thats when he dropped out. And what does SS doing the trimming have to do with anything?blaze3927 wrote:Bush wrote: The reason I didn't complete it was because my buyer dropped out and I made the mistake of not getting payed beforehand.
