John's FS Thread!

Post by jdmlight » Thu Mar 17, 2011 3:36 pm

It's John's FS thread, full of stuff that has been collecting dust and may be of use to you! I need to sell some stuff to getrecoup MGC spending money.

Please don't hesitate to make an offer, the worst I can say is no (but I'll probably just make you a counteroffer). I am interested in cash, not trades. All items work unless stated otherwise.

All images are clickable to get to HUGE versions. Priority is given to MGC-goers because it's easier (and cheaper) than shipping stuff.unless you wanted to wait a year On to the goods!

Xbox 360 A/V cable. Official Microsoft kind with the optical audio jack on the main plug and component+composite+L/R audio on the other end of the cable. $5+shipping.
Image

Xbox 360 203w power brick. $15+shipping.SOLD
[pic of this was here]

Xbox 360 Xenon console only with RRoD and error code 0102. Occasionally works, has been X-clamp modded previously. Probably has zero useful life left, but would be great for someone who needs to harvest ports for a laptop/needs a new DVD drive/etc. Might work if you were to reflow it. DVD drive was modded to play backups (there's a copy of The Orange Box in the drive that I was using for testing purposes). No guarantees AT ALL about this working. $30+shipping. SOLD
[various pics of this were here]

Palm IIIxe PDA. 8mb RAM, serial connection. Would be great for someone who needs a basic organizer. No scratches on screen, currently has a screen protector on it (though the screen protector on it right now could probably use to be replaced). Includes hotsync dock, hotsync cable, PDA (takes 2xAAA batteries), and six books (four of which are the original ones that came with it, two of which are ones which come with a bunch of applications). $25+shipping.
Image
Image

Keyboard for above PDA. May work with other PDAs of the same era with the same docking connector, but I have absolutely no way to test that. Folds up pretty small, keys feel like standard laptop keys (and are full-size), and in general works pretty darn well. Comes with soft case. $10+shipping.

9001-series Playstation (not PSOne). This is the really small one internally. I resoldered a few pins on the GPU and got it to work a few times, however I did not have the patience to resolder all of them. It should work if you resolder the GPU, but I'm selling it AS-IS with NO GUARANTEES. $10+shipping. SOLD to marshallh
[picture of outside of the 9001-series Playstation was here]
Tiny!
[picture of inside of the 9001-series Playstation was here]

PSP stuff. Need For Speed: Carbon, Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron, hard case, soft case, wired remote, car charger, wrist strap, USB cable, and Spider Man 3 UMD movie ( ) I really just want to get rid of this all at once. $15+shipping.
Image

iMac G3 DV 400mhz motherboard (the one with firewire). Works fine, I gutted the case for my iMac-PC project. It's got a 256mb PC133 and a 64mb PC100 stick of RAM in it, which I can sell separately if someone wants just the RAM. $20+shipping.
Image

iMac G3 CRT board. This is the other board inside the iMac, which serves to drive the CRT. $10+shipping.
Image

Halo for Mac. Includes box, disc, and manual w/ license key. This might be a case where eBay price != BH Trading Post price because it has been fetching quite a ridiculous amount of money elsewhere (as in $60 was the lowest I've seen it go for on eBay, right now there are some buy-it-now listings on eBay and some sellers on Amazon who want over $100  ). I figured I'd give you guys a shot at it first. $50 + shipping. (pretty firm on the price as I've seen it go for a lot more) EDIT: Now on eBay. SOLD

[picture of Halo for Mac was here]

I may add other stuff if I find more stuff I'm not using and would be willing to part with.
EDIT: I removed the pictures of stuff that's sold to make this post smaller. If you want one of the pictures, go here: http://johnmiller.no-ip.org/images/bh_fs_thread/

Cash at MGC would be easier (that's where I'm going to spend the money anyway  ).

It's been opened many, many times with a variety of different methods.

Also, I swear I mustn't be typing something in right on this postage calculator. USPS is giving me an estimate of $75.
I tried UPS and for some reason only express options were available, which were over $200.
Maybe Fedex or DHL would be cheaper than USPS or UPS? I don't have an account with either of those so I can't check.

I'll give you the shipment information, let me know if you can find somewhere that the shipping is reasonable.

You were looking at Express Mail International; Priority is $10 less, and it's less than that if it fits in any flat rate boxes. And if you send it UPS, he'll be charged customs clearance fees when it's delivered.

$60 seems to be about the lowest I could find unfortunately.
