Re-wiring the memory card/ rumble motor slot

Post by MODDEDbyME » Sat Feb 26, 2011 2:40 pm

I was trying to rewire the memory card slot when i rant into a problem. The pins keep the slot stuck to the board even if you apply a soldering iron to them. Does anyone know how to remove the slot?

What are you using to desolder the pins? With any object with heaps of pins it can be hard to get it to budge but if you spend a huge amount of time getting all the solder off the pins then it should eventually come out.

I've just been putting the soldering iron to the pins and bending the pins until they come off. It takes forever but it works.

A desoldering iron works wonders, and they're cheap from RadioShack. Or, use a somewhat high wattage iron with desoldering braid.

DO NOT PUT WORDS IN OUR MOUTHS.

We simply stated that we did not want you to bump old topics, after your 3rd/4th bump of a 6 month+ old topic inside one week. We also asked you to stop advertising for MBB. :wtf:

Well, yes, it is good to read first, but if your problem can't be solved by reading, or you still don't get it, ask away.
