I heard from a friend that you could hack apart a GBASP, and where the wires connect to the screen, you could snip them and solder on a SCART connector, and connect the GBASP to the TV?
Does this work? I'd love to try it, but don't have the guts to rip apart a GBASP (and ruin the LCD screen)

You can
but you need the GBA TV Transerver kit and hack it to work on a GBA SP
Also, even if it did work, you couldnt use the GBA SP's screen anymore (unless you soldered the wires back), thus forcing you to only use it at home
