N64 Battery Life Calculator

Post by Snipeye » Thu Feb 03, 2011 4:29 pm

I made it with PHP, it assumes 2 things:

1, You're using a pth****** (08000 or 08080 whatever)
2, Ah draw on 3.3v is 1.5Ah with expansion and 1Ah with Jumper. These values are easily changeable if somebody can suggest better, more accurate values.

Does this count for screen too? Pretty cool either way.

The screen Ah draw goes in to a separate filed, it calculates that, too.

Upgrade Complete! Now the values you input stay in after the forum submission, so if you just want to change 1 thing you don't have to re-enter all the data. I also slightly modified the algorithm, so it may work better for those of you getting weird results before.

With a Ti regulator running at 7.4v and then 3.3v out to the 3.3v line , and then 7.4v running to the 12v line the power draw with expansion pack is 750mA total.

Would it be easier to make your calculator with these figures ?

I actually have it set up to calculate 3.3 and 12v draw separately, so people can easily input other 12v (7.4v) line draw, then figure out battery life based on that.

Just bumping this - trying to get better accuracy, has anybody tried this recently?
If you have a portable and would be willing to test this, I'd appreciate it - just tell me how much the calculator says you should get battery-life wise, and how much you actually get. Thanks!

Any other suggestion/comments/questions?
