I just picked this up yesterday at Goodwill for $20, and I thought just plugging it in there and seeing the menus pop up was enough.
So I lugged it back home to use for my mother's computer, plug it in. Video is all scrambled and distorted. I try a different cable, same thing. So I dismantle the whole screen to see if there was any blown caps, or anything out of the ordinary. Nothing at all, tried messing with the LCD ribbon cable, nothing.
Maybe someone here could give me a reason as to why this screen is doing this. I uploaded a crappy phone camera video to youtube to show what is wrong.
What puzzles me is the menus and all work, but any kinda input is screwed up.

Re: HP LCD Monitor
Can you try a DVI connection?
It looks like the VGA controller might be shot.

Re: HP LCD Monitor
I would if it had DVI. Has just one VGA port, thats it.
Bummer, well I guess I can try selling the LCD Panel, and get my money back on it.
