Hey Im making a gamecube/N64 laptop.
Here are some specs.
-11.1v li-po battery pack. (freaking expensive.)
-cased in small poker case.
-at least 12" screen.
-a few fans to keep it cool.
This project is not going to be rushed. It could take up to a year. I need to get a new job to fund this aswell.
Anyone got a cheap Gamecube to sell me. Does it have to be rev C to mod it?

Yes. This. Do it, please. I will love you.
edit: oh, and you can mod any Rev, its just easier to do a C because one of the small boards that is normally separate is integrated with the main board. Its, recommended, but not necessary.

thanks for the info about the revisions. I think I'll look for a rev C. Im going to get one a eb games, is there anyway I can tell what rev it is by just looking at the serial # or something.
Inless someone has one they are willing to sell.

Re: GC64 laptop worklog
Here's a pic of some progress.
basically just the cart slot is relocated.
I didn't do it myself it's from a half finished N64p I bought.

Re: GC64 laptop worklog
When I wire up the screen can the gamecube and n64 av lines be wired to the same av input on the screen?
Re: GC64 laptop worklog
Im in need of a nice LCD monitor with AV inputs. ust be 12" or under.
Also looking for a Gamcube revision C
and a 11.1v li-po pack(probably just get it from batteryspace.)
I got 2 x 3.7 li-po 4700 mAh batteries withn a 7.4v protection PCB and smart charger I could trade with some cash.

Yes, and why not buy another 4700mah lipo cell and the 11.1vPCB?weaver wrote:Im in need of a nice LCD monitor with AV inputs. ust be 12" or under.

Re: GC64 laptop worklog
I already decided that I was going to do that but, this project is on hold right now until I complete my 360 laptop. It should be finished within the next 2 or 3 weeks if my screen comes in. I'm looking forward to getting it done and am really happy with the way it's turning out.Bush wrote:Yes, and why not buy another 4700mah lipo cell and the 11.1vPCB?weaver wrote:Im in need of a nice LCD monitor with AV inputs. ust be 12" or under.

Re: GC64 laptop worklog
those n64 cartridge wires look very long don't make them too long or they will cause to much interfering with the game.
I'm a Gamecube master
