Help with working out pinout

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Help with working out pinout

Post by joeafro » Tue Aug 17, 2010 9:34 am

I recently bought a nice screen from ebay. Problem is it didnt come with a "connection box thingy". Heres a pic of the screen and the connection box i dont have.

Front of unit:

Connection box:

I have searched all over for pinouts and such and have come up short. I was wondering how i would go about finding the pinout. Its a weird 20pin connector iv never seen before. I think the screen was only sold in Japan.
Heres some more pics.

Sorry bad pic of connector on the board(20pin female):

Pic of male plug i found on the internet:

And finialy the motherboard:

The make is a Sanyo CAV-RD80 but all info is in Japanese
