drop dc voltage

im trying 2 make a usb charger. my port gives out 5v but i need only 3v. how do i get 3v?

nevermind: figured it out.

The drop of the armature in a DC shunt motor is armature current x Resistance of armature.
Losses is different from voltage drop, voltage drop means loss in voltge, I square R is loss in power.
