Xbox bad video

Post by gannon » Sun Jul 25, 2010 12:14 pm

So, my guess with this is screwed up bios of some sorts. Been years since I touched the xbox, and it's giving me at best a fuzzy picture. S-video will give me 2 images of the screen in B&W, really fuzzy. Composite doesn't really give anything. Audio is fine though.

Cut through some traces and patched them up, but it was working last I left it a few years ago. Although before I was using a crappy composite -> vga converter box, so maybe the video will work with that if I find it...would be a bit odd though.

Well it wouldn't hurt to find that converter box and try it. Wish I could help more but I think you will probably have to get a new Xbox.
