Well all the good switches at Radio shack are expensive could I buy one of these instead http://www.amazon.com/Off-Power-Switch- ... NWZBNX0PFB" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;? Also can you please link me to the charging port store page because search is not doing justice. Also where could I get good wire? I would like to have wire to come in different colors such as black, white, and red. Just any color really. Also can you link me to a place which sells small heatsinks?

This swich is a lot cheaper and more reliable then the power switch you have at amazon.com
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... Id=2062489" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
This one is a standard two way switch but you can achieve the same out come with a two way swich, just solder the positive end of the charging port straight to the batteries so that way you can have the unit running off of wall power and charging at the same time.

You also need a charger, a 100uF capacitor and a 2.2k resistor (alternatively 2k or 1.8k).
And some thicker wire for the power.

Type M jacks at radioshack, and wire can be found there as well.

This is the charger you will want to get when you order your battery and it comes with it's own charging port, just remove it from its plastic surround and solder it up to the proper leads.

As for wire this is some decent wire that will carry a strong connection it also comes in blue and white

looks good to me, only thing I can think of is a way to secure everything down on the inside like epoxy or mounting posts like these

That wire is to thin for power. Try at least 22 AWG or thicker (lower AWG). Speaker wire can work well. I'd also get thicker wire for normal soldering. Ribbon cable is 28 AWG, see if you can pull any IDE cable or the like out of old PC's etc.

I don't think that smart charger will allow you to play and charge. You could get a 1.5A charger, like the 64 boy, but it charged really slowly.

There's a guide to making a vacuum forming table around here somewhere, so you don't need to buy one. But you need some plastic.

Edit: Here and Here.

I hate you bump this to the top but can someone answer my question and Mario can you make a more detailed diagram for me? Like red and black wires and tell me what ground is.
