av out

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Wait, is that only for video? Is there no way to make there be sound too? :?

Wire two wires to each spot (composite, left audio, and right audio). One set goes to screen and speakers, another goes to your a/v out. Use a headphone jack and make a custom connector cable for it.
If that's confusing, I can draw up something.

I direct you to mario's instructable.
That's actually different, it uses a switch to change where the a/v is going. I wasn't thinking earlier; this is the better solution.

Well i did the first option you showed me, and it worked out really well. I just want audio too, is there any way to do that without doing that second option you sent me?

Yeah, the switch just makes it so one is used at a time, which may be needed if the signals the NES outputs aren't too strong. Plus, then the screen (probably) won't be running when the system is on A/V out.
So basically just do the same thing for the audio. Use a headphone jack and plug as a sort of "detachable connector" for the wire. You'll have to wire the plug wire to some rca jacks and there you get a/v out!

So do you mean i just need that one connector for both the video and audio out? Any pictures/diagrams would be useful.
