there is an item of goldenshop HK that turns a gameboy into one though

I think my eyeballs just exploded from the impact of that awesomeness. You should try it with a Game Boy Color.

thats about as non-techy as it gets.

as far as the joystick in the article, it looks like one of those add-on ones that attaches to the D-pad.

Cheapo gamecube controller. Can easily be found on ebay. =J

Could I replace a game boy color d-pad with a gc c stick? and would i just solder the wire straight onto the pad, like this? And what would I have to solder the resistors to?
