I got a copy of aria of sorrow from gamestop today (or at least I thought I did), and when I start it up the game says circle of the moon

I wonder how (unless somebody opened it up and swapped the casings), and why.

At least it was only $15. But it's not saving the game, either! It saves, but when I turn it back on, there's nothing.

Some kid probably traded in a really bad looking copy of Circle of the Moon, and they had a nice looking but nonfunctional copy of Aria of Sorrow, and the Gamestop employee saw the games both said 'Castlevania' so they figured "I'll make a nice looking working copy of Castlevania hurr".

Do they seriously do that?

I like GameStop, but are they really that stupid? Good thing I usually only buy disc games new. Not because I'm paranoid that this would happen, but scratches, box damage, etc. Although I don't like them for getting rid of the two sections that I would probably have spent all of my money at. N64 and Game Boy. Both gone. :(

And this wasn't even a disc game; it was pulled out of the cabinet :( I thought that it would be something they couldn't possibly screw up. I thought I was getting a nice deal, but instead, got a lesser game that won't even save.

That does suck. I loved gamestop years ago but recently bought a used 360 game. And I know I should have check the disc before leaving but didn't. Got home and checked the disc before playing. The huge laser ring burns covered a good bit of the disc. When I took it back for another copy later that day, I was accused of messing the disc up. Here is a new rule for all disc games: check before buying.

take the game back, you bought one game and received another one. thats their mistake and they should correct the issue for you.
