Re: PSone screen help
Well considering your horrible grammar and spelling I can't really make out what your saying besides that your having a problem running your PSone screen on a 7.5v battery.
Lets start with the diagnosis:
1. What type of 7.5v battery are you using? Alkaline, Lithium, Ni-MH, Ni-Cad, Li-Poly?
2. Are you connecting a input to the screen? What type of input? RGB, Composite Video........don't think it accepts anything else.
3. If your connecting a video source to the screen, are you a 100% sure you followed diagrams on our site to wire the Inputs properly?
PSone screens will not power up without a input. They may flicker for a quick second when the power is turned on, but they typically shut off and stay off until a video signal is fed into the inputs.
On a second note, check your connections to ensure they are not loose. It could be that they are shorting in and out because they where not properly secured to pins.

Re: PSone screen help
Well its possible the screen can be dead.
What type of input are you feeding to the screen?
Have you tried the 5v input feed to the RGB side thats required sometimes for it to powerup.

Re: PSone screen help
Oh ya, thats bad. Smoke is typically the sign of a dead Screen.
Was it really an RGB input?

Re: PSone screen help
Turn it on again. See if the smoke is coming from a small rectangular black diode on the back of the PCB.

Re: PSone screen help
That I can't remember, there is a small surface mount fuse you have to jump if it's been blown.
Might have to ask around.
I'd still double check on all your wiring and maybe since the 5v+ mod made it smoke you might want to remove that.
I'm no professional at this, I just go off what I've read about people's posts.
