Screen abs/epoxied in. Back holes filled/epoxied. Interior obstructions removed.

Casework done and almost ready for painting.

Cart slot re-location done !

Expansion pak re-location done !

Managed to pull off one trace on the expansion pak spot on the board but I hunted down the alternate spot to wire it to, so all is good.

Also trying to use the oem heatsink blocks and aluminum on this one. I tested it in a box with one 25mm fan at 3.3v blowing hot air out and it didn't get hot, so it should be good. We'll see.

Hahah, I see you are enjoying copy+paste :) You're right, I guess the Kamikaze 64 is very popular. I would think that people would want the Darth 64 more, but hey, to each his own.

On the case - the dark grey is hard filler and the light grey is flex filler, right? And I assume you have ABS cement under the hard filler around the screen and on the inside for the controls?

Also - for the back (specifically the handle/stand thing), did you just put that in, fill it, and then smooth it out with a dremel on the inside of the back?

Yes dark is hardest and lighter is flex filler.

Actually I do it a bit different now. I use the bumper filler/epoxy on the top half. Enough to bond it to the case and fill in a lot of the cracks. After it dries (around 30 minutes) I flip it over and abs cement the backside. I use a liberal amount and overlap the screen and the case by around 1/4". After it dries a bit (around 6 hours) I go back to work on the front sanding it smooth. Then I fill the rest of the front in with bumper filler/epoxy , let it dry and sand , sand , sand.

I leave the handle in and fill it with hardest. I don't do anything on the inside. I leave the bump there. If you wanted to you could dremel out the handle and re-cessed plastic, then ans a flat piece of plastic over it. And then fill in the slight dip on the back with hardset. But i use the bump inside to mount my N64 board to. and then I put the controller beside the bump :)

Cool :) I'll keep that in mind. The reason I am asking is because I am working with a Datamax but the screen cover will be mounted similar to how you have it on your NCube. The biggest challenge looks like the things on the back, like the battery holder. I'm sure I will be able to work it out pretty well, but I just gotta make sure a little bit :)

Oh, and when you say bumper filler, you mean the flexible filler?

Both fillers are bumper filler. They are used for car bumpers. LOL

I use the hardset first then the flexible when almost done.

Yeah I know they are for bumpers but I didn't know if you were referring to either the harder one or the flexible one when you said that :)

Is this your first white Kamikaze? I like the way it looks. 8) Can't wait to see what it looks like finished.

The A/B and the C buttons look really close. Or is it just me?

That's how they are in ALL N64 Controllers. I cut it right out of the controller and put it in with no modification.
