Those aren't their actual names. Ebay assigns random tags to other bidders to keep their identities private. Sounds to me like you got legitimately out bid. Don't be so cheap next time.

Why did you make a new account to reply to your own thread? We have rules against that.

i too have experianced some rather unsavory moments on ebay. like the out-bid-before-your-bid-goes-through automation. Thanks a lot Ebay Sniper programs...
Re: watchout ebay douches about
eBay has gotten so terrible recently that sniping is really is the best option to use now. I don't use any sniping programs, but I do wait until the last few seconds of the auction before i place a bid. If I lose, its no big deal because I put in the maximum amount that I wanted to pay for it anyway, and no one had time to dick around with my bid.
A couple sellers have recently have been doing what the OP posted, max bidding and then deleting bids to max out your bid. Before, when you canceled your bid, eBay used to delete all your bidding history on the item. That is no longer the case as now it just deletes your highest bid. There's a few eBay trolls doing also doing this on purpose to random auctions and also some permanoobs that just get frustrated in a bidding war after a while and max out your bid just to realize they don't want to pay that much and cancel their highest bid.
This did not happen to the OP, as I believe he was just legitimately outbid on his item, but it has become prevalent on eBay and is something you should be aware of and look out for.
