XBOX 360 COMPOSITE TO VGA PLEASE HELP!

hey,
i am in the process of making a xbox 360 laptop when i fell across the artice ben wrote on http://www.engadget.com/2006/11/14/how- ... -cable-fo/ that showed how to make a cheap vga out of the composite cables that come with the xbox. I thought this would be great as i then dont have to spend $40 on a already made one (to save me money yay! ) I got to the part were he showed the vga and composit inputs no questions asked when suddenly (the sky fell) NO....... It turns out i dont have a metal pin in each pin slot! FML!!! is this normal? is there a way to fix it? will i get AIDS? I even checked me and my friends other xbox video cables (from the front in) to see maybe if they had all the pins and it turns out they dont either they only got pins (TOP) 1,3,7,9,13,15,25.27 and 29 and pins 4,6,8,10,14,16,22,24,26 and 28 on the bottom! So if anyone could tell me if either theres is the same or any way to fix it i would love you and praise you and eat you (No just kidding ) , but really PLEASE HELP as it would be much appreciated! thanks

so pretty much i should sauder the wires right but then what should i use as grounds? in the tut it says to sauder all the grounds to eachother, i dont have to do that?

alright i will try that but thanks for your help =) much appreciated, that little part confused me a little bit as i wanted to do the conversion the exact same way, so i dont mess up as i only got one shot at it.

EDIT: tried to sauder all the conections but im missing the v sync and h sync pins and ben says those are pins i will need (and ontop the red blue green) so should i leave em or switch them for some ground pins or some other not needed ones?

To output VGA from the 360, you need access to the following pins:
3 - red (VGA pin 1)
4 - green (VGA pin 2)
8 - blue (VGA pin 3)
11 - H sync (VGA pin 13)
12 - V sync (VGA pin 14)
21 - ID pin (VGA pin 15)
23 - ID pin (VGA pin 12)
VGA pins 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10 can be connected to a common ground

Pin 15 is right audio, pin 16 is left audio

To enable VGA mode, pin 20 must be grounded.

thing is i dont have pin 20 and i dont have the h sync and v sync pins

I got a cheap VGA cable for my 360 on eBay for about $6. It was generic but It still worked

can pin 20 go with the common ground or does it need to be seperate? other words, how do you ground pin 20?

ground it on the 360 board. You can install a switch so that you can switch to external connector.
