7" haier screen help

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

7" haier screen help

Post by buddylove5 »

will this screen work? im going to use it for my nintendo64 portable.

the side said av in/out so i disassemble it and there are a bunch of wires from a main circuit board to the screen board. im wondering which ones i need to keep for power, video, audio, and anything else essential.

the only one i cant read on the circuit board is the 17v? there is a hole on the 7.

the screen works fine but when i took my multimeter to it i shorted my battery on accident.

if there is anything else i can do please let me know, ill do what it takes to use this screen.

not sure if i can do this, but here is a crappy picture of the screen circuit.

made some progress today,

the aquais colord cable
and the orange cable
can be hooked to a 9v battery and the screen changes. it turns to like a black screen but its not off.

the speakers have 2 wires each, but come from a different cord. would i be able to input sound? or would i need to scrap them and find peakers that work?

also, the "e" may be a "c" for the last wire, not sure if it will change anything cuz idk what it does. haha.
